5th week blog post!

Hello, we have finally made candles this week. It has been a month since we started posting blogs and we were very nervous when making the candles because it was our first time. To avoid failure, we watched instructional videos on YouTube. As a result, the quality of the candles was at least average. Last week, we bought 6 kilograms of wax to make 60 candles, but we have only used 2 kilograms of wax to make 20 candles. To make the candles, we melted the wax and added incense. There are three types of incense in total, but we have only used two of them. We will make more with the remaining incense next time. During the candle-making process, we figured out that how fast we make candles is not important because we were not yet ready to post the pictures of the candles on Tumblebug. If we want to upload on Tumblebug, we would need a sticker to put on the candles to label the different types of incense, but we do not have any stickers ready at the moment. Therefore, we are going to ask someone to design the stickers.

We will also need to create a bank account to post on Tumblebug. This is because we need an account for depositing the money made from future sales.

We lit some samples after we finished making the candles. This was to see how much they smelled and how fast they burned. After lighting the candles, the room began to smell good. The smell was mild and not too strong. Also, we used smokeless wicks for our candles which do not produce smoke that can mix with the incense. Next week, we are going to focus on Tumblebug postings again.
